Have you ever wondered what positive thinking was all about? It takes effort the think positive. It’s well worth it though. Positive thinking will help you overcome the obstacles you face in life, but if you don’t know what to focus on, you’ll always be one step behind. Today, I want to share with you three elements you can focus on to help you keep positive thoughts floating through your mind consistently.

Prosper Your Soul

Just like our stomachs needs nutrients to fuel our bodies, our minds need the same kind of care. Scientist have estimated that more than 10,000 thoughts cross our minds on a daily basis, most of which are negative. The sad part is that these thoughts are negative because most people are spiritually bankrupt. In order to get your mind out of bankruptcy court, it’s important that you prosper your soul and feed your mind healthy thoughts. The healthiest thoughts are contained within the pages of the Bible. Other great sources of healthy thoughts can be found in the pages of books by successful speakers and entrepreneurs. I don’t doubt that you have access to these forms of media, the question is, are you using them?

Be Productive

If there’s one thing our mind hates, it’s doing less than we know we are capable of. When you allow procrastination to dominate you, sooner or later, those weak thoughts will start having an affect on your state of mind. You might not notice how many negative thoughts are created through procrastination at first, but once you become aware of them, the results could be frightening. So be productive. Don’t wait till tomorrow to do what can be done today. Being productive not only makes you feel better, it also helps you stay positive because you’re accomplishing things. This strengthens your state of mind and also increases your confidence level. So do yourself a favor and be productive. Your confidence and positive thinking depend on it. To help you become more productive, use a time management calendar. This tool will help you stay on track and help you eliminate distractions.

Enjoy Yourself

What good is it to prosper your soul and be productive if you never take time out of your life to enjoy yourself. In todays “go-go-go” society where people want things cheaper, faster, and better, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily monotonous grind of the 9-5 J.O.B. You need balance in your life to maintain a healthy and positive state of mind. To much of anything can turn around and bite you in the butt, including prospering your soul and being productive. So be sure to take, I mean MAKE time for yourself to relax and enjoy the beauty and wonders of the world. Trust me, you’ll be happy that you did. To get started, begin with giving yourself 15 minutes of silence a day where you do nothing but enjoy your surroundings.

With these three elements at your finger tips, you no longer have an excuse about what you need to be doing to maintain a healthy and positive train of thought. It does take effort and work to maintain positive thinking, but at the the end of the day you’ll be glad you did yourself the favor. Now that you have three key elements to focus on, as long as you put them into practice, you’ll be on your way to a happier and healthier lifestyle.
